About Me
Eleni Henderson, MBACP (Accred.)
I am a psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist based in Enfield, North London, working with adults in person and online. I completed my training at the UK’s oldest provider of counselling services and am an Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I work with people who may be feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward, including those who appear to be coping on the outside while feeling stuck or disconnected internally. I also work with difficulties in relationships, questions of identity, the impact of earlier experiences, and periods of transition or uncertainty.
My approach is relational and psychotherapeutic, informed by psychodynamic thinking and grounded in anti-oppressive practice. I pay close attention to how past experiences, emotional patterns, relationships, and wider social contexts shape emotional life, including experiences of race, gender, sexuality, and identity.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a Clinical Allocations Consultant at a well-known counselling centre in North London, facilitate workshops for therapists in training, and am a training psychosexual therapist at Tavistock Relationships.
Prior to training as a therapist, I worked in senior management roles for over 20 years in international environments, which informs my understanding of pressure, responsibility, and the emotional demands of professional life.
I am of mixed cultural and ethnic background and welcome clients from all backgrounds.
